Donald Trump and Erika Kirk’s Surprising Pageant Connection Revealed
People have recently stumbled upon a pretty surprising connection between Donald Trump and Erika Kirk that goes way back before the recent tragedy that brought them together in the spotlight.
After Charlie Kirk was killed, his widow Erika stepped up in a big way. She spoke at the massive memorial service held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where thousands gathered to honor the conservative activist. The very next day on the Charlie Kirk Show, she got emotional while thanking everyone who had supported her family, especially President Trump and his loved ones.

She fought back tears saying how much her husband had adored Trump and how strong their friendship had been. Not long after that, Trump himself took the stage right beside her. As he wrapped up his remarks, he pulled Erika in for a warm hug while the whole crowd cheered loudly. Some folks online had mixed reactions to the moment and the expression on his face, but it showed just how close they had become through all the heartbreak.
What a lot of people are only now realizing is that their lives actually crossed paths years earlier. Someone digging around on X found an old photo from Erika’s beauty pageant days and put the pieces together. Back in 2012, she competed in the Miss USA pageant, which Trump owned at the time. For her talent in the Miss Arizona contest leading up to it, she did a fun dribbling exhibition with two basketballs. Her old modeling and acting website even still had booking info listed.
Trump had been involved with the Miss Universe Organization for a long time and helped run Miss USA until 2015. He did more than just own it. Reports from back then suggest he had a real hand in picking contestants and even influencing who took home the crown. Erika, who went by her maiden name Frantzve then, won Miss Arizona in 2011. She went on to the national stage the following year. She once said that making a real difference mattered most to her and that the sparkle and titles were just a nice extra.
She had also competed in Miss Teen USA events earlier. Some judges from those pageants later shared stories with The New Yorker about how Trump would sometimes override their votes and choose the winners himself. One judge remembered being stunned when the results came out because they did not match what the panel had picked. It is hard to say for sure if Erika was one of those he personally selected, but given how involved he was, the chances they never crossed paths at those events seem pretty slim.
Life has a funny way of bringing people back around full circle sometimes. What started as a shared pageant history has now turned into a deeper bond forged in loss. It is one of those stories that makes you pause and think about how small the world can feel.
