Ellen DeGeneres discloses horrible family trauma
Ellen DeGeneres recently disclosed a sinister family secret in the hopes that others going through similar things might find solace in her candid disclosure. The comedian claims she is “furious at people who don’t believe” and wishes she had been protected as a defenceless child.
Ellen DeGeneres, who was born in Louisiana, rose to fame in the late 1970s despite obstacles in her path. After performing a stand-up routine on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1986, the talk show host earned her big break. This led to further late-night appearances, consecutive club bookings, and TV series parts.

The 66-year-old comedian had her first regular small-screen appearance in 1989–1990 as a cast member of the short-lived sitcom Open House. In 1994, she was cast as the lead in the comedy series These Friends of Mine, which she eventually changed to Ellen.
Upon reading the script, I burst out laughing. In 1994, the well-known awards show host told the New York Times, “I knew what I could do with it.” “I wanted the show to be talked about the following day.”
The following day and each day thereafter, everyone did converse. Actually, when she came out as a lesbian on Ellen and in real life, the topic heated up. Although she was sad to see the program end, she disclosed that year that she was dating actor Anne Heche. The show was cancelled in 1998.
“Across the room, I beheld the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. Ellen DeGeneres was her name. Heche described her initial encounter with the comedian as “radiating.” “I believe that you just exude a glow of fabulousness and enthusiasm at specific points in people’s lives.
And she was that! Heche revealed some sinister details about her history shortly after the couple’s breakup in 2000. Heche disclosed that her father had begun sexually abusing her when she was just a toddler in an interview with Barbara Walters in 2001. The award-winning actor, who passed away in a horrifying vehicle accident in August 2022 at the age of 53, claimed, “He raped me.”
Since abuse is merely a memory, I believe it is always difficult for kids to discuss it. I didn’t have a tape recorder with me.”I didn’t set anything in stone,” Wag the Dog’s star stated. “Well, how do you know for sure? Anyone can look at that. And that’s among the most agonising aspects of it. You don’t. After her confession, Heche wasn’t the only one who suffered from trauma and the ensuing uncertainty.

“As someone who has experienced sexual abuse, I am incensed at those who don’t accept it and ask, ‘How do you not remember exactly what day it was?'” In 2018, DeGeneres told Savannah Guthrie of Today. “Those things are not in your memory.
What occurred to you, where you were, and how you felt are all things you may recall. It’s what you recall. In an earlier interview with Busy Phillips on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2003 to 2022), the woman talked candidly about her experience.

TV and movie star Phillips revealed that she was sexually raped at the age of 14. “I was 15 and I had something happen to me,” DeGeneres added in response to Phillip’s disclosure.Anyone who has experienced something like this gets really upset when someone doesn’t believe them or asks, “Why did you wait so long?” “We’re girls and we’re taught not to say anything and to go along with it,” she adds. DeGeneres, an animal activist and vegan, only talked briefly about her encounter at the time, but a year later, she talked about the “very bad man.”
DeGeneres, who has been married to actor Portia de Rossi since 2008, told David Letterman in an episode of his Netflix series My Next Guess Needs No Introduction that the abuse began when she was around 15 or 16.
She claimed that her ex-stepfather sexually assaulted her after learning of her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis and mastectomy. A weeping woman told Letterman, “He told me when she was out of town that he’d felt a lump in her breast and needed to feel my breasts.”
“He persuaded me that he must touch my breasts, and then he keeps trying to do it again and again.” When DeGeneres eventually found the strength to tell her mother the truth, her mother didn’t believe her since she had initially concealed the assaults from her.
“I never ought to have shielded her. Regarding her mother, who remained married to the monster for an additional eighteen years, she said, “I should have protected myself and I didn’t tell her for a few years before then I told her.” She didn’t think I was real.and eventually left him as he had repeatedly altered the tale.
“I didn’t really let it get to me,” DeGeneres, who has continued to care for her mother over the years, says in reference to her lifetime trauma. I kind of thought, “I wish I would have been better taken care of,” until recently. I wish she had taken my word for it.

Although she apologises, you know. We hope that DeGeneres and all the other vocal individuals will inspire those who choose to keep quiet. How do you feel about this tale? Kindly let us know what you think and then tell us the tale so we can start a discussion about this taboo subject!
