Hugh Jackman, 55, is a multi-award winning actor who is adored by fans everywhere. He is best known for playing Logan, the witty, quick-witted Wolverine from the X-Men films.

The Australian celebrity made his breakthrough in 1995 when he costarred with Deborra-Lee Furness, his future wife, in the Australian TV series Correlli.

At the time, Jackman had just graduated from drama school, and Furness was already a well-known star.

In 2017, Jackman recalled his initial encounter with Furness, saying to People, “Deb, she was a big star.Deb is in the front seat of the car when I get picked up. I will always remember. He goes on,

“Hello, I’m Deborra-lee Furness. Nice to meet you,” she said, removing her sunglasses and turning around to remove her seatbelt. I distinctly recall thinking, “I like this girl.”

The Les Misérables star and Furness, who is currently 68 years old, got married in 1996 and have two adopted children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.

Admired for their longevity and loyalty, the couple was the centre of attention for fans.

In honour of his wife’s anniversary, the Tony Award-winning actor paid a moving tribute to her on April 11, 2023.

The X-Men franchise star writes, “I love you Deb,” alongside a stunning photo of the two with the city in the background. Our 27th wedding anniversary is today. 27 YEARS AGO! I adore you a great deal. We’ve made a wonderful family together. as well as life. I am so grateful for your generosity, humour, cheekiness, courage, devotion, laughter, and spirit. With all of my heart, I love you.”

Fans flocked to his post, gushing over it and leaving comments. One online user writes, “Faith in men (and in my love life) restored.” “My daughter tells her husband she loves him as much as Hugh loves Deb…says it all really,” says the second person.

After some startling information surfaced five months later, fans re-examined the picture of the couple and expressed their shock.

“Remembered this post and had to revisit it today after reading about the split,” one person comments. I hope you both experience profound calm.

“I just read that you and your wife are separated or separating?,” says another. What the heck? There’s not much hope for the rest of us if you two don’t make it.”

The couple declared their separation in September 2023, nearly three decades into their relationship.

“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the couple said in a joint statement announcing the end of their 27-year marriage. Now that our path is changing, we have made the decision to part ways in order to focus on our own development. “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority,” the note continues. We approach the upcoming chapter with appreciation, kindness, and love. As our family moves through this difficult time in all of our lives, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and respect for our privacy.

“This is the sole statement either of us will make,” the statement ends.

Fans have been closely monitoring The Greatest Showman’s social media accounts out of concern ever since the couple announced they were divorcing and unfollowed one another on Instagram.

In the previous few months, Jackman has uploaded a tonne of pictures of himself exercising, going on hikes, having a great time at a Melissa Etheridge concert, and even hanging out with Ryan Reynolds—who, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is his greatest enemy.

Then, early in December, the Emmy Award-winning actor posted a selfie to Instagram in which he can be seen with his eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses, brows furrowed, and a light blue shirt on.

The Real Steel star posts, “Entirely too close,” in his best blue steel.

One woman quips, “Not close enough,” while another devoted follower remarks, “There is no such thing as too close to Hugh Jackman.”

Fans have pointed out that he appears “sad” in the second picture, lacking his mischievous smile.

“Where is that beautiful smile we all know and love?” asks one writer. “Looking a little serious there, Hugh,” says one person, while another says

A third netizen offers her support, speculating that the voice actor might be going through some personal struggles following the divorce: “We have all been there.” Fully understand it. I hope you have a better day.

In an attempt to calm the hearts and minds of his devoted followers, Jackman shared a new image of himself in London, this time grinning. With the caption, “Good morning, London,”

You’ve started to smile now. Savour the London lights that illuminate your eyes and heart while allowing the festive vibe to take over,” a fan writes. “Have a marvellous day and do what makes you happy,” says another.

In the X-Men, Wolverine famously remarked, “The pain lets you know you’re still alive.” Even though he is in pain, he finds comfort in experiencing suffering.
