President Donald Trump stood alongside First Lady Melania Trump on Thursday as he signed an executive order aimed at revamping the nation’s foster care system. Before the pen hit the paper, Melania delivered a heartfelt speech, and when the room erupted in applause—with Trump clapping right along—social media lit up over one tiny detail: the president’s unique clapping style.
The event focused on a new executive order to improve life for the roughly 400,000 kids in U.S. foster care. Melania also put her signature on the document, kicking off her “Fostering the Future” initiative. But once the speeches ended, the internet zeroed in less on the policy and more on Trump’s demeanor. Standing there, he appeared to fight to keep his eyes open while Melania spoke.
