Harry will play a “prominent role” at the funeral of King Charles

Even though King Charles might live for a long time, preparations are already underway for his funeral. The 76-year-old has reportedly made a significant choice after participating in the planning of his own burial, much like Queen Elizabeth II. His son Harry and daughter-in-law Meghan might be given “prominent” roles in spite of the conflict.

Even if death is completely normal, family members are still deeply affected. One wants everything to be in order when it’s time to leave this world permanently, and for Charles, that means repairing his connection with his estranged son, Prince Harry.

After everything that has transpired in the years after Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2021 royal departure, a reunion between them and the Royal Family seems incredibly unlikely. Both in his shocking book, Spare, and in a number of interviews, Harry has been candid about his thoughts about the royal family.

He stated in a remarkable BBC interview a few months back that King Charles, his father, won’t talk to him. He would “love reconciliation” with his family, the alienated prince declared.

“I have had a lot of arguments and disagreements with some of my family members,” Harry stated, adding that “some members” of his family will “never forgive him” for his actions, which include “writing a book.” Regarding Harry’s multiple remarks and accusations, the Royal Family has not released a single statement.

The royal family feels “hurt and betrayed” by the prince, a source told Us Weekly in May. It is said that Prince William has reacted the most viscerally, feeling “more hurt than anything else.”

When King Charles passes away, many people will be notified right away. The King’s Privy Council Office, the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretary, Charles’s family, and other high-ranking ministers and officials will all be contacted by his private secretary. The public will then receive a “official notification” from the Firm, and protocols for notifying other officials have already been established.

The cabinet secretary will keep sending emails to ministers and senior civil servants in the interim. The flags at Whitehall, including the royal castles, will be lowered to half-mast as soon as the messages are received.

The planning of King Charles’s own funeral is currently underway. For instance, it has been stated that King Charles wants the ceremony to include eco-friendly and sustainable components, and he plans to stick with environmental issues to the very end. Furthermore, like the rest of the country, he is said to have chosen to observe a day of royal mourning following his death.

Following the funeral, the royal mourning period for Queen Elizabeth II continued for one week. Naturally, King Charles has the authority to decide who will and won’t attend the funeral. According to a recent shocking claim from The Telegraph, he will not only want Harry and Meghan to be present, but they will also be given “prominent” roles.

According to the source, King Charles has deliberately tried to involve his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as well as his son and daughter-in-law. William is anticipated to walk with the estranged prince in the official procession through London.

Additionally, the Duke and Duchess will have “prominent roles” at the funeral and be invited to take part in the family vigil at Westminster Hall while the queen is lying in state.
