Heartbreaking Loss: Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter Victoria Found Dead at 34
It’s truly devastating news—Tommy Lee Jones has spoken out for the first time since his daughter Victoria passed away last week. The 34-year-old was discovered early on New Year’s Day at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco after what authorities described as a medical emergency.
Reports say another guest spotted her on the 14th floor, initially thinking she might have had too much to drink and passed out. That guest quickly alerted hotel staff, who then called for help.

In a short but emotional statement from the family, including the legendary actor, they shared: “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.” It was signed simply, “The Family of Victoria Kafka Jones.”
As of now, the exact cause of death hasn’t been officially confirmed. The San Francisco Police Department is working with the hotel to piece together what happened, and there’s no indication of anything suspicious like foul play or trauma.

A 911 dispatch call mentioned a possible overdose with signs of cyanosis—that bluish discoloration from low oxygen levels. Sources close to the scene noted no drugs or paraphernalia were found nearby, and nothing pointed to suicide.
Victoria followed a bit in her dad’s footsteps early on, making her screen debut in Men in Black II back in 2002. She also popped up in an episode of One Tree Hill and had a role in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which her father directed—his stepmom Dawn Laurel-Jones even worked as the still photographer on that project.
Rest in peace, Victoria.
