Hillary Clinton Breaks Silence on Epstein Files, Accuses Trump Admin of Deliberate Delays and Cover-Up

Hillary Clinton has come out swinging against Donald Trump, accusing his administration of dragging its feet on releasing key documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein. In a recent interview with the BBC while she was in Berlin for the World Forum, the former secretary of state didn’t hold back. She called out what she sees as deliberate delays in getting the full Epstein files into the open.

“Get the files out. They are slow-walking it,” she said plainly. She went on to stress that she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have repeatedly pushed for everything to be made public. “We have nothing to hide,” she added. “We think sunlight is the best disinfectant.”

The Department of Justice has already put out millions of pages from Epstein’s records, shining a light on his connections to all sorts of prominent people. Being named in those documents doesn’t mean someone did anything wrong—it’s just part of the records.

Bill Clinton had some social and business links with Epstein going back to the 1990s and early 2000s. He visited the White House a few times during his presidency, and after leaving office, he took several trips on Epstein’s private jet for foundation-related work. Hillary pointed out that neither of them has ever been accused of wrongdoing by any victims, and they had no idea about Epstein’s crimes back then.

She did admit to crossing paths with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate who’s now convicted, “a few times.”

Things have heated up with Congress too. The Clintons have agreed to testify before a House committee looking into all this—Hillary’s set for February 26, and Bill the day after. Hillary made it clear they’d prefer the sessions to be open to the public. “We will show up,” she said, “but we think it would be better to have it in public.” She just wants fairness, adding that “everybody should testify who is asked to testify.”

This comes after some back-and-forth with Republican committee chair James Comer, who pushed hard on the subpoenas until the Clintons agreed, avoiding a contempt vote.

Trump fired back quickly when asked about it. “I have nothing to hide, I’ve been exonerated, I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein,” he told reporters. “They’re getting pulled in, and that’s their problem.” He didn’t stop there, saying Hillary has “Trump derangement syndrome.”

The White House pushed back too, pointing out that by releasing thousands of pages, cooperating with subpoenas, and with Trump recently calling for more probes into Epstein’s ties to certain Democrats, the administration has actually done more for the victims than past ones ever did.

It’s a messy, ongoing saga with plenty of finger-pointing on all sides as more details keep coming out.
