Jon Stewart and Tracey McShane’s love story

Jon Stewart is popularly known for his many shows and television appearance.

He seems to have the best career and listening to him you will be fazed at how far he has gone and all he has achieved, but all this is nothing compared to his 20-year-old love story.

Jon Stewart was born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz in New York City on November 28, 1962.

Jon attended high school in New Jersey and graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1984.

He got a degree in psychology but it seems like he knew he wasn’t going to use it as he went on to appear on a puppet doll show.

“I was a little lost from the age of eighteen to twenty-four,” Jon Stewart told the New Yorker. “I had my midlife crisis early. In 1986, I was living in Hamilton, New Jersey, working for the state and bartending and playing on a landscape company’s softball team.

I started thinking, This is it for the next seventy years? So I told my mom I was going to New York to do comedy. I never discussed it with the—what’s the other one called?—dad.”

He moved to New York to build a career in comedy, a niche he had no experience of.

Along the way, he had to change his name to Jon Stewart as people were having a hard time pronouncing his name.

“The host’s hesitation at trying to pronounce my name the first night bothered me,” Stewart explained. “There was slight leftover resentment at the taunting. You don’t want a turntable handle in show business. And some leftover resentment at my family.”

“But I didn’t change my name—I just shortened it,” he added. I didn’t want to go as far as making it Dirk Cloud or Poopy Joe, the Rodeo Clown.”

Jon Stewart got his breakthrough in 1991 as he got to replace Craig Kilborn as anchorman on the Daily Show.

In 2010, Barrack Obama became the first sitting president to appear on the show.

In 2015, Jon decided to leave the show after good 15 years.

Stewart told The Guardian, “It’s not like I thought the show wasn’t working anymore or that I didn’t know how to do it, It was more, ‘Yup, it’s working. But I’m not getting the same satisfaction.”

He continued: “These things are cyclical. You have moments of dissatisfaction, and then you come out of it, and it’s OK. But the cycles become longer and maybe more entrenched, and that’s when you realize, ‘OK, I’m on the backside of it now.’”

During filming for Wishful Thinking in Manhattan, Jon got to go on a blind date with Tracey McShane. They have never met and Jon’s co-worker suggested they go on a date without seeing first.

Jon recalled his co-worker saying, “‘I know this girl who I think you would very much like, And the way she described her was in such glowing terms, I thought, ‘well, I’d be a jackass not to go out with this woman.’ So I called her.

What happened was I wrote her number on a dollar bill. And this was when I still smoked, so I went and bought cigarettes with the thing.”

Jon didn’t call after getting her number as he write them down on a dollar bill and spent it.

He later got it through the set records and after meeting up in a Mexican restaurant, they knew they were bound forever.

He went on to propose to her through a crossword puzzle and the duo got married in 2000.

They keep on supporting each other Nd having each other’s back. We wish you all the best.
