David Bowie was a legendary British singer and songwriter who left a great impact in the world of pop and performance.
His daughter, Lexi Jones is getting into the show business as well.
Bowie is a legend and a set pace in almost all aspects of his life ranging from music to fashion. He is an icon and one of the greatest to ever grace the entertainment industry.
He passed away after releasing his album, Blackstar, and that was his goodbye to his numerous fans all over the world. He’s said to have died of cancer.
David Bowie, born David Robert Jones was born on January 8, 1947, in Brixton, London, England. His father John, was a promotion manager while his mom, Peggy worked as a cinema usher.
His half-brother, Terry often takes the credit as Bowie’s biggest inspiration.
Bowie always wanted to be noticed, even from childhood he always felt he didn’t have enough attention as he wanted.
Bowie said in the film David Bowie: Finding Fame, as quoted by NME, “It wasn’t a particularly happy childhood.”
He continued: “My parents were cold emotionally. There weren’t many hugs. I always craved affection because of that.”
When Bowie’s career took off it wasn’t so great at first and wanted to give up on his dream to become a monk.
According to Herald Scotland, Bowie said, “I wanted to become part of the order and go up to a Tibetan monastery in Scotland.”
He didn’t give up and got his big breakthrough in 1969 after the release of Space Oddity.
He went on to release The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars in 1972, which got the whole world hooked. He created Ziggy stardust, his magical character who’s to keep his demons at bay.
He told GQ Magazine, as quoted by The Guardian, “I had enormous self-image problems and very low self-esteem.”
“I was driven to get through life very quickly, I really felt so utterly inadequate, I thought the work was the only thing of value.”
David Bowie in 1970 got married to Angie Barnet, an American model. They parted ways after 10 years and David was granted custody of their son, Duncan Jones.
Bowie found love again and married Iman Abdulmajid, and they welcomed their daughter, Alexandria Zahra Jones popularly known as Lexi Jones.
Zahra is a bombshell that immediately she was born the doctor exclaimed and said “My goodness, David, you’ve given her your entire gene pool.”
The young beauty can pass for the most beautiful woman to ever exist and that’s not arguable.
