Loyalty changes
Some people aren’t loyal to you, they are loyal to their need of you; once their needs changes so does their loyalty,
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt you had your life figured out, you have the best people around you and you didn’t have to bother about anything, but suddenly everything changed in the twinkle of an eye?
I had my life figured out from when I was a teenager and I didn’t have to worry about anything; I had the most loyal friends in college and my parents made sure I never lacked anything too.
I had the best car and I was the most fashionable student too and my friends weren’t left out because I made sure we all wear the same brand and all that.
I was the envy of many and I was happy how things were as I was happy and living my life.
My friends were the most loyal too and each time I tested their loyalty they never for once failed and I trusted them so much too.
The last issue that broke the camel’s back was when my twin sister had to come back from the states and we had to be in the same school.
I told her about my friends and since she was going to join my class, she said I shouldn’t tell anyone about her and let’s see if my friends were still going to be there for me, she had a plan.
I told my friends my parents were going bankrupt therefore I was going to stop spending like before and things are going to change a lot.
At first, it was all cool, but not until my sister joined my class and was spending extravagantly.
My friends saw that I wasn’t going to keep providing for them and that’s when they left me for my sister and they never knew we were related.
Their loyalty changed the moment I stopped providing for them.
