Pamela Anderson Finally Opens Up About That Liam Neeson “Romance” Everyone Wouldn’t Shut Up About
For months the tabloids had a field day: Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson looking way too cozy on the Naked Gun press tour, him calling her the love of his life in interviews, her putting lip balm on him on live TV. People were either swooning or rolling their eyes, convinced it was the most obvious publicity stunt since… well, ever.
Pamela stayed quiet the whole time. Until now. In a big new People magazine cover story, the 58-year-old Baywatch icon finally spilled what actually went down with the 73-year-old action star—and yeah, there was definitely something.

Turns out, nothing happened while they were shooting the movie. They finished filming the reboot (where she plays the sultry Beth Davenport and he’s Frank Drebin Jr.) and then, once cameras stopped rolling, Pamela flew out to Liam’s secluded place upstate New York for what she calls “an intimate week.”
“It was romantic,” she admits. “If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while, but only after we wrapped.”
She’s quick to add that it wasn’t some secret torrid hideaway: their assistants were there, family popped in, she even had her own bedroom. Still, the vibes were clearly there. One night they went to a tiny French restaurant and Liam introduced her to the owner as “the future Mrs. Neeson.” Another morning she watched him, still in his bathrobe, chase an actual bear away from the kitchen window with nothing but a loud yell and a newspaper.
Peak Liam.
They spent the days wandering his garden—Pamela apparently rescued a rosebush that mint had completely taken over—and just enjoying the bubble. “I was happy to help, and he appreciated it,” she says with a laugh.
But after that week they both had to get back to real life and other movies. End of the fairy tale… sort of.
Fast-forward to the press tour and suddenly they’re flirting in every interview again. Pamela putting gloss on Liam’s lips on Watch What Happens Live, Liam gushing that he’s “madly in love” with her and can’t praise her enough. Fans lost their minds.
She shrugs it off: “We were having fun. It felt a bit like a Nancy Meyers movie.”
The last time they saw each other was August 2025 when Liam surprised her by showing up to her play Camino Real at the Williamstown Theater Festival. “He’s such a supporter of everything I’m doing now,” she says. “He keeps telling me he’s very proud of me. We’ll always be in each other’s lives.”
So were the rumors just hype? Pamela insists no. “I kept laughing when people said it was a publicity stunt. I’m like, guys, this was real. We have real feelings.”
Still, she’s clear where they stand today: “I adore Liam, but honestly? We’re better as friends.”
And that, finally, is the full story straight from Pamela herself.
