Photos from Spencer Trump’s 13th Birthday Spark Outrage Over His Dad’s Post
Donald Trump is definitely a larger-than-life figure these days—big personality, huge influence, and yeah, a pretty massive family to match.
He’s got five kids from three different marriages, which some folks point out doesn’t exactly line up perfectly with the traditional family values he’s talked about before. His oldest, Donald Jr., is pushing 48 now, while the youngest, Barron, is 19. All together, those kids have given him 11 grandkids, keeping the Trump name going strong in numbers, if nothing else.

A lot of the Trump kids have turned into public figures themselves, building careers in business, media, or politics—though it’s fair to say having that last name opened a lot of doors.
But the younger grandkids, like the ones still in their teens or younger, mostly stay out of the spotlight. They’re not out there making headlines or getting pulled into the family dramas… at least not usually.
That changed a bit recently for one of them: Spencer Trump, Donald Jr.‘s son with his ex-wife Vanessa. Spencer just hit 13, and suddenly he’s getting a crash course in what it’s like to have the Trump surname online.
First off, let’s be clear—Spencer’s just a regular 13-year-old kid, doing normal teen stuff, and he’s done nothing wrong here.

The buzz is all about his dad. Donald Trump Jr. posted a sweet birthday message on Instagram (he’s got millions of followers there) with a bunch of photos celebrating Spencer’s big day.
He wrote something like: “Happy birthday to the littlest of my little men. Spencer, I can’t believe you’re 13 and I hope you have an awesome day buddy. I love you so much. I can’t wait to get back into the outdoors with you. You make me very proud.”
Sounds like a totally normal proud-dad post, right? Most people probably thought so.
But not everyone. A few of the 12 photos showed Spencer out hunting, holding rifles, and that set off some strong reactions from people who aren’t fans of kids being around guns or hunting in general.
One commenter said something along the lines of: “Not even 13 and you threw a gun in his arms. Truly sick. There is no reason a young man today needs to kill an animal for food.”
Another called Don Jr. out directly: “You’re a sorry excuse for a human – not happy unless you’re killing some innocent animals.”

If you’ve followed Don Jr. at all, you know hunting is a big part of his life, and he’s faced criticism for it before. Back in 2019, there were stories about a trip to Mongolia that reportedly cost taxpayers a chunk of money, and he got heat for killing a rare Argali sheep—apparently getting the permit after the fact.
More recently, there was an accusation about his group taking a protected Ruddy Shelduck during a hunt in Italy, though he denied any wrongdoing and an investigation didn’t seem to go anywhere conclusive.
So, what do you think? Is it fair to criticize a dad for sharing hunting photos with his kid, or is this just people piling on because of the family name? Drop your thoughts below.
