Sharon Osbourne Tears Up Over Donald Trump’s Heartfelt Voicemail After Ozzy’s Passing
Music fans around the globe were heartbroken when Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary “Prince of Darkness,” died in July at age 76. His funeral procession wound through his hometown of Birmingham, and tributes poured in for the Black Sabbath frontman. On a recent episode of The Osbournes podcast, his widow, Sharon Osbourne, shared an emotional voicemail left by Donald Trump after Ozzy’s death.
Ozzy was laid to rest on July 30, following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. His legacy as a rock icon will live on forever. Sharon stepped away from the spotlight for months after the funeral, grieving privately.

In October, her son Jack gave an update on Good Morning America about how his mom was coping.
“She’s okay, but she’s not okay,” Jack said. He mentioned that the overwhelming love from fans had been a comfort. “None of us saw this kind of outpouring coming. Every kid thinks about losing their parents someday—it’s just part of life. But this hit different.”
World leaders and celebrities sent condolences to the Osbourne family in the wake of the loss.
Sharon Breaks Down Hearing Trump’s Message
On the latest Osbournes podcast episode, Jack played a voicemail Sharon received from President Donald Trump shortly after Ozzy passed.
“Hey Sharon, it’s Donald Trump. Just wanted to send my best to you and the family,” the message began. “Ozzy was incredible—an amazing guy. I met him a few times, and let me tell you, he was one of a kind. So talented. It’s tough, I know how close you two were. If there’s anything I can do, just say the word. Take care, and give my love to the family. Bye.”
Sharon was visibly moved, tearing up as the recording played. She and Trump have history—she appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice back in 2010, when he was the host.
In the episode, Sharon said she was grateful for his kindness and tried to keep politics out of it.
“Look, politics is a no-win game,” she said. “No matter who you support, half the room’s going to disagree. It’s more divided now than ever. But this isn’t about that. I spent a month working with Donald and his wife, Melania, who was always so classy and warm. They were both lovely.”
“He’s Always Treated Me with Respect”
Sharon went on to share how Trump had always been thoughtful toward her.
“He’d ask about the kids—‘How’s Kelly doing? Jack?’ He was genuinely proud of them, always complimenting their manners. He was easy to talk to and treated me with nothing but respect.”
Jack chimed in: “Say what you will about him—he didn’t have to reach out. That meant something.”
Rest in peace, Ozzy. Drop your favorite memories of the Prince of Darkness in the comments on Facebook!
