Singer Connie Francis of “Pretty Little Baby” dies at the age of 87

At the age of 87, singer Connie Francis passed away. The singer was well-known all of her life, but in recent months, her 1962 song “Pretty Little Baby” went viral, cat
apulting her back into the public eye.

Ron Roberts, a friend of Connie Fancis, reported her death. “It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night,” he wrote as he shared the news on Facebook. He stated in the post, “I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news.”

In 1962, Francis initially shared her song “Pretty Little Baby,” which went viral on TikTok nearly 60 years after it was first made available!

Recently, the song has become extremely successful, putting Francis back in the spotlight. The song was used by celebrities and influencers in a variety of videos across multiple platforms.

Connie Francis expressed her happiness to all of her new admirers who discovered her through her song “Pretty Little Baby” in one of her final social media messages. She noted that the sudden surge in popularity of her song left her feeling “thrilled and overwhelmed.”

She thanked a few well-known people on Facebook for using her song and helping it gain popularity. “Hello everyone – The popularity of “Pretty Little Baby” continues to amaze me. Thank you to Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Kim Kardashian, North West Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Agnetha Fältskog, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Gracie Lawrence, Shaq O’Neal, Jimmy Fallon, and others for being featured in the music videos that helped the song reach over 17 billion plays!

Knowing that she was able to experience success once more before she passed away is incredibly touching! She was able to observe how her voice was adored and how a song she had written decades prior became well-known among a whole different generation. Additionally, she was immensely grateful for the affection she received and frequently expressed her gratitude to her newfound fans on social media.

She recently disclosed, nevertheless, that her health was not good. Her hospital stay was the subject of some of her most recent social media posts. According to what radio personality Cousin Brucie wrote, she was in the intensive care unit. Francis later verified this on Facebook.

She briefly left the public eye, but in an interview with The Village Voice in 2011, she talked about how she was misdiagnosed with attention-deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
