Sofia Richie, the daughter of Lionel Richie, married over the weekend. In a stunning wedding, she married British record executive Elliot Grainge in the South of France.
Sofia Richie was born on August 24, 1998, to Lionel Richie and his second wife, Diane Alexander. Her parents separated in 2004. Richie had previously dated Justin Bieber and Scott Disick of the Kardashians.
Chanel made all of the bride’s gowns for the big day.
Her initial bridal look was a stunning Chanel Haute Couture gown with a high neck and long sleeves. She wore it to her rehearsal dinner the night before her wedding. She looked stunning in the beaded gown she had custom-made.
Richie can be heard saying, ‘I’m frightened to move because I don’t want to ruin one bead,’ in a Vogue video of the radiant bride. “This is like a fairytale,” the bride exclaimed. It truly is. It’s like a work of art. “I truly feel like a princess!”
Her ensemble was completed by diamond drop House of Harlow 1960 earrings made by her older sister Nicole Richie.
“Making these earrings for my sister is a moment I will never forget,” Nicole Richie posted on her Instagram story.
Sofia Richie wore yet another Chanel Haute Couture gown at the wedding. The dress had a halter neckline. She accessorised her handmade gown with a dazzling veil that was affixed to her low chignon hairstyle. In a natural dewy appearance, she looked gorgeous beneath her veil.
The bride herself offered followers a preview of her clothing and hairstyle by tweeting a video of herself throwing her bouquet.
Her third and final Chanel custom garment was a two-piece Chanel Haute Couture minidress set. She wore the gown to her after-party, which took place following the ceremony.
“This is like my little girl dream,” the young bride explained. “And the fact that it’s inspired [by] Claudia Schiffer’s runway dress is iconic and dope.”
Sofia began dating Grainge in 2021, and the couple married a year later. Richie converted to Judaism before the wedding.
