The children of Prince William and Prince Harry refer to Princess Diana in very different ways

Princess Diana died in a horrific car accident in 1987, leaving the entire globe in mourning. A nation lost its favourite princess and her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, were left without their mother.

William and Harry have worked hard to remember their mother in the best ways possible ever since the accident. The brothers now have their own children, and even though Diana is no longer with us, the next generation of royal kids is still doing its part to honour her.

It turns out that William and Harry’s children have given their grandma Diana a number of unique names, in fact quite a few.

Many people adored Princess Diana. When she wed Prince Charles in 1981, she joined the Royal Family. In St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, the couple exchanged vows in front of numerous royal figures from other nations.

William and Kate discussed nicknames on BBC Radio 1 in 2017. The couple was referred to by Harry as “William and Cath,” according to the radio host.

Is this just a family thing?” the host questioned Kate.

Yes, she said, “I’m not sure.” I have to admit that I don’t know much about it, but I’ll honestly respond to most questions.

And it turns out that Kate Middleton, the Queen, and Diana aren’t the only famous people with nicknames. The children of William and Kate attend school with some of their own.

After his father and grandfather, Prince Charles, Prince George is the third in line to the throne. When the young prince was born on July 22, 2013, there was a lot of media attention to him, and his birth was widely observed.

He became a big brother on May 2, 2015, when Princess Charlotte, his sister, was born. Early in January 2016, George began attending the Norfolk-based Westacre Montessori School. In September 2017, he and his sister Charlotte transferred to Thomas’s Battersea School, where they are currently enrolled.

The cost for Prince George and Princess Charlotte to attend Thomas’s Battersea School for the forthcoming academic year is reportedly around $20,000.

George, Charlotte, and Louis, the couple’s youngest son, all have the official titles of Prince or Princess, thus while they are with their parents on official royal activities, they will always be referred to by those titles.

The same regulation, it seems, does not apply at school. George and Charlotte aren’t referred to by their royal titles, claims Hello Magazine.

They go by George and Charlotte Cambridge instead. Given that William Middleton and Kate Middleton are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it is a homage to their parents’ titles. It’s been said that Prince George is referred to as “PG” by his peers.

Of course, nicknames have been given to royal offspring before. While at school and later while serving in the military, William and Harry both had their own nicknames, which they were known by, William Wales and Harry Wales. The Prince of Wales is their father, Charles. Diana, their mother, was a Princess of Wales.

Despite the fact that Diana is no longer with us, William and Harry, together with their daughters Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, are still making an effort to uphold her legacy.

Most importantly, they emphasise telling tales and stories about their late grandmother to their children.

As it happens, the grandchildren of William and Harry each have a unique name for their grandma.
