Tragic Dog Attack in Oklahoma Leaves Woman Without All Four Limbs

It was just a regular bike ride for Janelle Scott and her boyfriend in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, but things turned horrific on September 9th when two pit bulls suddenly went after her.

From what her family shared on a GoFundMe page, Janelle was pedaling along when the dogs attacked out of nowhere. Her boyfriend, who was trailing behind, jumped in to fight them off and called for help right away.

Local police told News 9 they arrived to find Janelle with really bad injuries. Sadly, one of the dogs didn’t make it through the scuffle with her boyfriend.

The cops mentioned there was an RV trailer nearby where the dogs were supposedly kept, but it looks like someone broke in earlier that night and let them loose.

Janelle ended up needing surgery to amputate her right arm and left leg at first, but then doctors had to take the other two limbs as well. The GoFundMe’s pulled in over $12,000 so far to help with everything.

Her mom, Cheryl, said to News 9, “Hey, we’re tough women, and we’re gonna get through this.”

Janelle’s story is a rough one, reminds you how quickly things can go wrong. Her family’s hanging in there, though.
