Trump describes his rescue from death and the person who saved him
After the world held its breath after the gunshots that rang out in July of last year, and Donald Trump miraculously survived an assassination attempt, he is finally speaking out. In an emotional interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, the president shares a moment he will never forget.
America was taken aback by the event, which also had the potential to alter history. As Donald Trump spoke to a crowd of supporters on July 13, 2024, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks scaled a rooftop close to a campaign rally in Pennsylvania and began shooting at him.

Crooks fired in a couple of seconds. Trump has one bullet wound to his ear. A bystander, Corey Comperatore, a retired Buffalo Township fire chief who had brought his family to the demonstration, was killed by another. Crooks was killed by a Secret Service sniper after two more were gravely wounded.
Trump is now talking about what transpired in a very personal interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, which will appear on Fox News as the one-year anniversary of the attempt draws closer.
“Well, it was a memorable experience. I had no idea exactly what was happening. I was thrashed. That is beyond dispute,” Trump recalled. Luckily, I was able to get down fast. Fortunately, I was able to swiftly get down despite the yelling since I believe they fired eight rounds.
He remarked, “One got me, and one got another, and one got another.” And Corey, the firefighter, was murdered by one. Fantastic man. Trump didn’t hold back from denouncing the security lapses that let the shooter get into position, even as he commended the bravery of the agents who eventually saved his life.

“I am really confident in these individuals. I am familiar with the individuals. He added, “They’re very talented and capable.” However, they had a rough day. And I believe they will acknowledge that. They had a difficult day. “Someone ought to have been inside the structure. They ought to have been roped in, they ought to have communicated with the local police, and they weren’t. Therefore, errors were made. According to reports, Myosoty Perez, one of those agents, was assigned to guard the neighborhood that day. Larry Berger, her lawyer, said that she had been suspended after the event and was assisting investigators.
Berger went on to say that she was not in charge of general security and that “she is now deciding what the next steps will be in this situation.”

In the end, six agents received suspensions. For Corey Comperatore’s family, the repercussions was particularly agonizing; his widow subsequently told reporters, “Our blood is all over their hands.”
Nonetheless, Trump conveyed his sincere appreciation to the sniper who stopped the shooter before additional people were killed. The 47th President said that he deserved significant praise for his prompt and decisive response, calling him “David.” He carried on with his activities. “It stopped after less than four seconds, and he got him perfectly from a very long distance,” Trump stated. “Therefore, we were somewhat fortunate in that respect.”
Trump would survive a second assassination attempt, this time at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, just weeks after the first one. After pointing a gun through the boundary of the course, a guy was allegedly shot by Secret Service personnel.
