Trump Threatens to Sue Trevor Noah Over Epstein Joke at 2026 Grammys

The 2026 Grammy Awards turned out to be one for the books, and not just because of the music. There were bold fashion choices that had people buzzing—like Chappell Roan’s eye-catching outfit—plus some wild surprises, including Cher announcing an award for someone who’s been gone for over two decades. Throw in a few protests against ICE, and the night was already packed with drama.

But the real fireworks came from host Trevor Noah. With fresh Epstein documents dropping just days earlier, he couldn’t resist a sharp jab. While presenting Song of the Year, he said something along the lines of: “That’s a Grammy every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland—which makes sense, because Epstein’s island is gone, so he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

The line landed hard, especially since President Trump’s name shows up more than 1,000 times in those latest Epstein files. He’s been linked to the financier socially in the past, but Trump has always denied any wrongdoing, never visiting the island, and no victims have accused him of crimes related to it. The White House and Justice Department pointed out that some claims in the documents are old, sensationalized stuff from right before the 2020 election.

Trump fired back quickly, first talking about the files while on Air Force One. He suggested the new batch actually clears him, claiming writer Michael Wolff conspired with Epstein to damage him politically. He even floated suing Wolff and the Epstein estate over it.

Then came the Grammys reaction. Trump blasted the show on Truth Social, calling it “the WORST, virtually unwatchable” and saying CBS is lucky to be done with it. He zeroed in on Noah, labeling the joke “false and defamatory.” He stressed he’s never been to Epstein’s island or anywhere near it, and this was the first time anyone had even suggested it so directly.

“Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast,” Trump posted. “It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT.”

It’s classic Trump—quick to threaten lawsuits when he feels attacked, especially over anything tied to Epstein. Whether it actually goes to court remains to be seen, but the back-and-forth definitely kept the headlines rolling after an already chaotic night at the Grammys.
