Trump’s Wild AI Video Stirs Up Controversy Over “No Kings” Protests

This past Saturday, huge crowds flooded the streets of cities across the U.S. to protest President Donald Trump’s policies, rallying under the “No Kings” banner. And let’s just say, Trump’s response was… something else entirely.

From New York to L.A., Miami to D.C., millions of people showed up to make their voices heard. The protests, dubbed the “No Kings” movement, spanned over 2,500 cities in all 50 states. Signs waved high with messages like “Democracy, Not Monarchy” and “The Constitution Isn’t Optional.” Heavyweight Democrats like Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Adam Schiff, Chuck Schumer, and Raphael Warnock marched alongside everyday folks, calling it a fight for the heart of democracy.

Colleen Connell, head of the Illinois ACLU, told CNN, “We’ve got millions out here today. The message is loud and clear: most of us want to protect our democracy, respect the rule of law, and stand up for what’s right. This country belongs to the people, not some wannabe dictator.”

But while the streets were packed with passionate protesters, Trump decided to respond in the most Trump way possible—and it’s got everyone talking.

A Bizarre Video That’s Hard to Unsee

Instead of addressing the crowds directly, Trump took to social media with a jaw-dropping AI-generated video. Picture this: him piloting a fighter jet labeled “KING TRUMP,” rocking a gold crown, blasting Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” from Top Gun. The kicker? The video shows him dumping what looks like sewage on the protesters below as he flies over New York City. Yeah, you read that right.

Not to be outdone, Vice President JD Vance jumped in with his own meme on Bluesky, showing top Democrats bowing to Trump in some kind of royal court scene. Subtle? Not exactly.

The internet lost it. One Reddit user summed it up: “Can you imagine any other president pulling something like this?” Another chimed in, “This is the leader of a country? Really?” A third just threw their hands up: “Every time he does something, I pinch myself to check if this is real life. He’s supposed to be a grown adult!”

Trump Leans Into the “King” Thing

If you thought Trump might back off after the backlash, think again. He doubled down, sharing another clip where he plops a crown on his head to the tune of “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold. In a Fox News interview teaser, he grinned and said, “A king! They’re calling me a king. But I’m not a king, you know.” Sure, okay.

He also brushed off the massive protests as a “joke,” claiming the crowds were “very small” and “ineffective.” Speaking to reporters on Air Force One on Sunday, he added, “Those people out there? They don’t speak for America.”

Republicans Push Back, Call Protests “Anti-American”

House Speaker Mike Johnson didn’t hold back either, slamming the rallies as “Hate America” protests. He even accused Democrats of profiting off the events by “selling T-shirts” and claimed they’re too scared of their “rabid base” to reopen the government amid the ongoing shutdown.

The No Kings coalition wasn’t having it. In a statement shared with Politico, they fired back: “Instead of working to reopen the government, keep healthcare affordable, or help working families, Trump’s busy attacking millions of Americans who are peacefully standing up to say this country belongs to us—not some self-proclaimed king.”

What’s Next?

The whole thing feels like it’s straight out of a fever dream, but here we are. Between the protests, the AI-generated sewage-dumping video, and the “king” memes, it’s hard to know whether to laugh or cry. One thing’s for sure: this story’s not going away anytime soon.
