Billy Joel was the most popular and influential musician of 1970s and his burning voice is still the heartbeat of many.

Billy had lost 50 pounds when he appeared for the performance on stage. Everyone was so schoked and amazed to see him. But he looked so wonderful and attractive. William Martin “Billy” Joel was born on May 9, 1949, in New York. Shortly after his birth his family moved to Levittown.
Billy started playing piano. His father was also a professional pianist. And once Billy started playing piano, his mother pushed him to study and play other instruments as well.
Teenage years of Billy Joel were all about music. Before he could drive at the age of 16, he already had performed with 2 bands. He joined the Echoes, who later became known as The Lost Souls in 1993.
After four years he joined Long Island-based band The Hassles and recorder two albums with them.Soon upto 1970 he got famoused due to his musicianship. He joined his first solo record deal in 1971.
With his band he turned the world over. And in 1972 he signed Columbia Records by the legendary Clive Davis.Piano man was a huge success of him.
The song became a single of top 20. National recognition was soon gained by him. It isn’t heard yet that he writes classical songs too.
However New York state of mind was also a huge hit and success which got alot of recognition. The song is still one of the most famous one.
