Donald Trump Branded ‘Classless’ After Stepping in Front of Queen Camilla at White House
Donald Trump has long spoken warmly about the British Royal Family, but royal etiquette clearly isn’t his strong suit. During a recent event at the White House with King Charles and Queen Camilla, something he did has left many people calling him out as classless and disrespectful.
The royal couple is on a four day state visit to the United States, a trip that’s seen as especially important given some recent strains between the two countries. King Charles even addressed Congress earlier, reflecting on the deep historical ties between Britain and America that stretch back centuries.

On Tuesday morning, things kicked off with an official welcome ceremony on the South Lawn. President Trump and the King inspected military units together, including the Marine Corps Honor Guard and even the Space Force Honor Guard making its debut at such an event. It was all meant to be a grand display of honor and friendship.
But what really caught attention online wasn’t the formal parts of the day. A video clip started circulating that showed Queen Camilla, looking elegant in a bright lime green coat and matching hat, greeting a line of guests. As she was shaking hands, Trump suddenly stepped right in front of her and took over the greetings himself.
It left the Queen momentarily stuck behind him, while King Charles and First Lady Melania looked on nearby.
Social media lit up almost immediately. People called the move rude and said it showed a lack of basic courtesy, especially since the royals were invited guests. One commenter put it bluntly: he has no idea how to show respect or class to others. He invited them here, so they should go first, and ladies should always come first anyway. He just doesn’t get it.
Others noticed the expression on Camilla’s face and joked that if looks could kill, Trump would be in trouble. Some even recalled a similar moment from his first term when he did something comparable with the late Queen Elizabeth II, stepping in front of her during a visit. It seems like old habits die hard.
Critics online didn’t hold back. Comments ranged from calling him a rude narcissist who always needs to be the center of attention, to saying he’s simply incapable of behaving otherwise in these situations. The whole thing has sparked a fresh wave of debate about protocol, politeness, and presidential manners on the world stage.
