Fans Slam Meghan Markle for “Fake” Celebration Video with Prince Harry
It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from the Royal Family. After a brief time in Toronto, they settled into their sunny life in Montecito, California—and it seems that short Canadian chapter left a lasting mark on Harry.
Meghan recently shared a fun video of herself cheering wildly after the Los Angeles Dodgers beat Harry’s beloved Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series. But not everyone’s buying it; plenty of critics are calling the whole thing staged.

Life looks a lot different for Harry and Meghan these days compared to their royal routine. Since leaving the Firm back in 2020, they’ve dipped into various projects, but settling in the U.S. has clearly opened up new hobbies for Harry—like getting into baseball.
They spent a little time in Toronto before making Montecito their permanent home, just a quick 90-minute drive from Los Angeles. The couple has been spotted enjoying date nights at concerts and games around the LA area more than once.
Just last week, they were front and center watching the Dodgers take on the Blue Jays in the World Series. When the Dodgers clinched the title in the final game, Harry and Meghan were cozied up at home to catch it.
Meghan, rooting for her hometown LA team, posted a black-and-white clip of herself jumping around in excitement while Harry looked pretty bummed out, slouched in a chair behind her.
Meghan Markle Called Out for “Staged” Dodgers Victory Dance
The video didn’t exactly get the warm welcome Meghan might have hoped for. Instead, it sparked a wave of backlash, with fans accusing her of faking the moment.
Right there in the Instagram comments, people let loose. One wrote, “Totally normal to set a camera up recording yourself for another forced narrative when you’re Meghan Markle. Cringe-o-rama again,” according to Express.
Someone else wondered, “Does Harry realise she is recording his every move inside his own home and can easily release the footage when it suits her?”
Others piled on with “So staged! She looks absolutely ridiculous” and “So FAKE and CRINGE! Makes me want to hurl.”
What do you think—was Meghan’s celebration of the Dodgers’ win genuine, or totally set up? Drop your thoughts in the comments on Facebook.
