Golden Hawn is one of the few stars that it feels like they were born into the show business and after many years she still strives to be entertaining.
Hawn amidst having a successful career that keeps bringing many has been through lots of ups and downs alongside her partner Kurt Russell.
She battled with depression in her 20s and recently spoke honest words about her struggle during her childhood days.
Goldie Hawn was born in Washington DC on November 21, 1945, and was raised by her mother Laura Hawn and father Rut in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Hawn started her journey in the entertainment industry at the age of three. Her mother, Laura had a dance school and Hawn was attending ballet and tap, dancing classes.
She performed in the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo production of The Nutcracker at the age of 10 and 19 years later she ran and instructed a ballet school all by herself.
It seemed like Hawn had a nice childhood, but it seems there was more to it. She encountered struggles in her childhood.
She opened up in a video she posted on Instagram about her emotional childhood struggles involving her teacher.
Hawn decided to pay a tribute to someone she described as special in her life on 5th October, World Teacher’s Day.
Hawn had a hard time reading and was put in the worst reading group, but her second-grade teacher Mrs. Povitch played a very big role in her life.
Mrs. Povitch always made her feel good about her reading group. She reminded Hawn she was in the best group and shouldn’t feel bad even for a minute.
Hawn revealed in the video that she was in love with her teacher and it feels like a joke that she’s still in love with her after several years.
In the caption of the wonderful video clip, Goldie wrote: ‘’I fell in love with my 2nd-grade teacher, Mrs. Povitch. She made me feel good about myself even if I was [one of] the only kids in the ‘purple balls’- the worst reading group!’’
Hawn seemed to have the best life, but in real life, she is suffering from depression and avoided every public outing.
Hawn and Kurt are aging alongside each other, taking their mental health seriously, working out, and living their best life. They are a great pair and we wish them all the best.
