Kate Middleton was spotted a few hours after she apologised for the altered Mother’s Day family photo

Just hours after the embarrassing photo incident that had royal fans worldwide scratching their heads, Kate Middleton was spotted yesterday.

In case you missed it, the Princess of Wales’s Palace-issued photo went viral on Sunday in honour of Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom.

However, it was quickly taken down by a number of well-known photo agencies, including the Associated Press and Getty Images, because they had cause to believe it had been “manipulated.”

Rumours concerning Kate’s health after her 13-day hospital stay in January for a “planned abdominal procedure” were not greatly dispelled by the uncertainty. Since then, there have been few and far between updates regarding the Princess’s status, leaving many to question whether all is as it seems.

Furthermore, it’s not unexpected that yesterday’s uncertainty about the aforementioned Mother’s Day picture was so significant given the numerous conspiracy theories that are circulating.

“Upon closer inspection, it appears that the source has manipulated the image,” stated an excerpt from the AP statement. There won’t be a replacement image sent. Please take it down from every platform—social included—where it might still be accessible.

When Kate apologised for the photo and claimed to have self-edited it, the situation took a new turn.

The Duchess of Cornwall claimed to have altered the photo on X (previously Twitter), writing, according to the New York Post, “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.” She went on, saying, “I wanted to apologise for any confusion that the family photo we shared yesterday may have caused.”

The Princess concluded by writing, “I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day,” and then casually signed off with the letter “C,” which stands for Catherine, her first name.

That may be the reason why a sighting of Kate yesterday is reportedly reported, all the more intriguing. Fox News reports that shortly after apologising for the photo-editing incident, the Princess of Wales was seen with Prince William in the rear of a car.

There are rumours that the Princess was on her way to a secret meeting, and William subsequently joined Queen Camilla and other members of the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration.

Fox reports that King Charles, who is battling cancer, was not present for the royal procession that was led by Prince William and Queen Camilla at the congregation.
