Missing 10-year-old girls are among those murdered in a Texas school shooting, according to their family

According to the families, two Robb Elementary School pupils who went missing hours after a horrible shooting at the school are among the 22 persons dead.

In the aftermath of the second-deadliest school massacre in US history since Sandy Hook Elementary, Elijah Cruz Torres’ whereabouts were unknown. Her relatives told Fox News on Wednesday that the worst had happened.

Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez, 10, who went missing in the hours after alleged gunman Salvador Ramos, a Uvalde High School student, carried out his shooting spree, was also among those killed, according to her father, who spoke to Fox 7 Austin.

Several dozen family members met at a neighbourhood recreation centre near Robb Elementary School on Tuesday to serve as a reunification point for their missing children.

The protracted wait for news of their child’s or children’s whereabouts has caused some parents to fear the worse.

According to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, two police officers were shot during the school incident but are likely to live.

“To lose a child is like having a piece of your soul ripped away,” President Biden said earlier Tuesday evening from Air Force One in response to the incident.

“You have a hollowness in your chest, as if you’re being pulled into it and won’t be able to escape. Suffocating. It’s never the same twice, “After learning of the shooting on his return from an Asia trip, he informed a group of reporters. He also advocated for tighter gun laws.

The president continued, quoting Psalm 34, “The Lord is near the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

Earlier in the day, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke out, urging Congress to take steps to prevent “anything like this” from happening again.

“Enough is enough,” Harris stated emphatically. “As a country, we must have the fortitude to act and recognise the link between what constitutes acceptable and pragmatic public policy in order to ensure that something like this never happens again.”

NEW: Elijah Cruz Torres, a fourth grader at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, is 10 years old. Her grandfather informs me that she is missing and that her family is scared ill. She didn’t want to attend to school today, but she was forced to by her parents. He’s keeping his fingers crossed for any updates on her. @FoxNews
