SNL Roasts Trump’s Odd Reaction When a Guy Faints in the Oval Office

Last Thursday, things got weird in the Oval Office. During a press conference, one of Donald Trump’s guests suddenly collapsed right behind the Resolute Desk. The moment quickly turned into a meme fest online, with everyone zeroing in on how the president handled—or didn’t handle—the situation. By the weekend, Saturday Night Live jumped in with a brutal sketch mocking Trump’s response.

The presser was led by Dr. Mehmet Oz, Trump’s pick to run the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. He was announcing a new plan to slash prices on weight-loss drugs, with Trump and a bunch of pharma bigwigs seated nearby. Then, out of nowhere, someone hit the floor.

Dr. Oz immediately rushed to help the guy, but Trump? He just stood there, staring straight at the cameras like nothing was happening. The image blew up online within minutes.

One Redditor nailed it: “Swap the dude on the floor with America, and you’ve got the official 2025 portrait.”

Another joked, “Trump’s not built for unscripted moments. Better to reload the save file before the game glitches.”

A harsher take: “This photo sums up the Trump admin in 2025—regular people showing empathy while the boss looks mildly irritated the spotlight’s off him.”

Trump Says the Guy’s Fine, SNL Says Otherwise

The event paused briefly, but soon the press was let back in. Trump brushed it off casually: “You saw he went down, and he’s fine. We just sent him out—he’s with doctors now, but he’s okay. Just a little interruption.”

But SNL wasn’t letting it slide. In their cold open, James Austin Johnson (doing his now-iconic Trump impression) leaned hard into the awkwardness.

“I had a very normal reaction,” Johnson-as-Trump deadpanned. “Just stand there and stare like a sociopath.”

He kept going: “Every week I like to give America a big visual. Last week? East Wing demolition. This week? A doctor nearly croaking in my office just thinking about cheaper drugs. Next week, maybe a bald eagle drops dead on the White House lawn. By lawn, I mean the giant concrete slab out front.”

Then the kicker: “A guy collapsing in the Oval Office—and it’s not me? Wild.”
