Trump’s Easter Post Goes Viral: “Praise Be to Allah” and Profanity-Laced Warning to Iran Over Strait of Hormuz

Donald Trump posted a strongly worded message on Truth Social this Easter Sunday morning. In it he issued a direct warning to Iran about the Strait of Hormuz and used some rough language that caught a lot of attention.

He wrote that Tuesday would be power plant day and bridge day all wrapped up in one for Iran. There will be nothing like it he added. Then came the blunt part open the strait you crazy bastards or you will be living in hell just watch. He finished the whole thing with the words praise be to Allah.

The post came while tensions with Iran remain high and the conflict that started back in late February continues. Oil prices have been climbing and there is growing pressure from around the world to find a way to end the fighting.

A day earlier Trump had reminded everyone that he gave Iran ten days to make a deal or open up the strait. He said time was running out and that in forty eight hours all hell would rain down on them adding glory be to God.

During an address to the nation last week the president said the military campaign was nearing completion. He noted that Irans navy and air force had been hit hard their missiles were nearly spent and the actions taken would weaken their ability to back certain groups or move toward nuclear weapons.

Trump has described himself as a non denominational Christian in the past so the closing line in the Easter post surprised many who saw it.

The situation around the strait matters a great deal because it is a vital route for oil shipments. Any disruption there can quickly affect energy markets worldwide.

Trump later defended the tone of his message saying he wanted to make the point clearly and that people have heard similar direct talk from him before. The deadline he set appears to be approaching quickly and many are watching to see what happens next in the days ahead.
