Heartbreaking News: Rob Reiner’s Daughter Speaks Out After He and His Wife Are Found Dead
It’s absolutely devastating—Rob Reiner’s oldest daughter has opened up about losing her dad in such a sudden and tragic way.
The iconic Hollywood director and actor, Rob Reiner, was discovered dead in his Brentwood home yesterday, December 14, alongside his wife of many years, Michele Singer Reiner. Reports suggest the couple had injuries from what appeared to be a knife attack, and the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division is handling the case as a homicide investigation.

A family spokesperson shared a short but emotional statement last night: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”
During a brief press update, LAPD Detective Alan Hamilton stressed that things are still very early: “Right now, we’re not looking for any suspects or persons of interest. We’ll keep investigating thoroughly before making any moves.”
Rob and Michele, who was 68, had been together since tying the knot in 1989—they actually met while working on the classic rom-com When Harry Met Sally…, which he directed. They raised three children together: Jake, Nick, and Romy. Rob also had Tracy from his earlier marriage to Penny Marshall.

Tracy was the first in the family to share a few words publicly, talking to NBC News and saying she’s completely reeling from it all. “I came from the greatest family ever,” she said. “I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
