Remember Frida from ABBA? At 75, she still looks amazing

Abba is one of the popular groups from the 1970s to 1980s. It was a Swedish band with Benny Anderson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Foltskog, and Anni_Frida. All four are famous for their best and different kind of music. The members went in different directions when Abba split. Especially Frida Lyngstad went for a solo career.

But today she has stopped her career in music and wants to focus on her personal life instead of professional. The most curious thing about the Abba group is their sudden disappearance and splitting of the group. All of them continued their career separately but somehow remains away from the spotlight.

Let’s have some knowledge about the group star Frida Lyngstad. Frida was born in Norway on 15 November 1945. Her parents moved to Sweden when she was only 18 months old. Frida had also faced a lot of personal life challenges and tragedies. During world war 2, Frida’s father disappeared and her mother passed away when Frida was only 2 years old.

Frida grew up in the town of Torshalla which is outside of Sweden. She had an interest in singing and performing from the very beginning. She made her first debut on the stage at a red cross charity event at the age of 11.

She told “I never had any other plans as 7 years old I knew that it was a singer I was going to be. Frida worked with many bands and met her first husband Ragnar Fredrikson and had two children from him. Their marriage converted into divorce in 1970.

Frida was won a contest of talent in 1967 in Stockholm Frida met Benny Anderson in 1969 and became a member of the group Hep Stars. Benny and Frida worked together and fell in love. All four decisions started to work together. In 1972 they recorded the song “people need love” but it achieved minor success.
